Bio

Israel Laurindo (1983 - 2022) was a guitarist, producer and composer from Descavaldo, São Paulo, Brazil. He commenced his guitar studies at the age of nine at Escola Municipal da Música Maestro Quique Todescan. He continued his studies in Composition at the University of Campinas. He was the student of Silvio Ferraz, Denize Garcia, Luiz Henrique Xavier, Edmundo Villani-Côrtes, José Augusto and Jonatas Manzolli. Israel's compositions were performed at many universities and music festivals across Brazil. As a guitarist, he accompanied artists such as Toco Preto de Cavaco, Aeroluce dos Santos, Alessandro Penezzi, Nei Lopes, Toninho Geraes, among many others. 

In 2012, Israel moved to Londrina and collaborated with well known artists such as Nelson Sargento, Almir Guineto, Moacyr Luz, Monarco, Sombrinha and Barberinho do Jacarezinho. He directed the music of the events by Samba da Madrugada and other major samba events in Londrina and other cities. 

Israel produced and arranged four CDs of Música Popular Brasileira in 2016 - 2019 and was one of the teachers responsible for the Música Popular workshops at MST, Paraná.

In 2019, Israel collaborated with Angelo Ursini and Siles in their EP, Jeringoza. In 2020, he released another album, Dois Oceanos, with Australian vocalist Emily Tam. Both of these releases are available on Spotify and other digital platforms for you to listen and enjoy.
